1. Basic level courses consist of forty classes. How many weeks will it take to complete all forty classes?
All levels except advanced levels consist of forty classes, including Intermediate I, II and III. The length of time it takes to complete a level depends on how often you choose to take classes .We have three different schedules of programs.
If you choose Program A (20 group classes per week), you will complete the level in two weeks .If you choose Program C (20 group classes plus 10 private classes per week), you will finish in a week and a half .If you take private lessons (Program B), you may choose how quickly you finish For example, you may choose to take forty classes a week and finish quickly or you could choose to finish a level over the course of a month, taking only ten classes a week.
2. How long is each class?
Group classes are 55 minutes long and private classes are 45 minutes.
3. How many hours per day are your group classes?
Group classes are taken from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., which includes four classes and a break.
4. Are there holidays or vacation days when classes are not scheduled? If so, are the missed days rescheduled?
When a holiday occurs in the middle of a course, students can take more hours/minutes before or after the holiday to make up for the vacation days. You will always receive 100% of the class time that you pay for.
5. I understand that upon arrival, I will be given an oral exam to determine my level and I will be placed in a class in progress. Will it be with the correct level? Will I fall behind?
The exam is designed to place you in classes that fit your exact level at that precise moment .We take great care to place you with your correct level. The evaluation process is very thorough and well designed. The results are revised by our Pedagogical Coordinator on a regular basis.
6. If I don’t feel comfortable, can I change groups?
Yes, if you feel that you have been placed in a class that is too difficult or on the other hand too easy foryou; you may ask to be re-examined.
7. What is the minimum number of students in a group class?
We feel that small class size is important for our students. The minimum number of students per group is two. The maximum number is six.
8. What is the minimum time period that I can enroll in individual and group classes? What is the maximum?
We are very flexible. There is a one week minimum enrollment for all classes.There is no maximum.
9. Can I pay the course fees and home stay fees in Argentinean pesos?
We ask that all fees are paid in advance into our account with Citibank, New York, USA in US dollars. Once you have finished a course, if you decide to extend your program you can then pay with pesos or in cash.
10. The cost of staying with a family is $150 per week.From which day to which day is considered a week (Monday to Sunday)?
The cost is $150 per week without meals. This is starting with whichever day that you arrive and seven days consists of a week.
11. What is the cost of extra days, either before or after the program?
The cost of an extra day is the regular weekly fee divided by seven.
12. What is included in the $150 cost of staying with a family (laundry, cleaning service, etc)? If I would like them to provide meals will the cost go up?
Please view the Accommodation page of our website for more complete details .The cost of a home stay with breakfast and dinner is $225 per week. This cost will always include cleaning service for your room .It does not include laundry service, but every house is equipped with automatic washers.
13. Would it be the same price to stay with a family and have a private bathroom?
There are very few houses with private bathrooms .If a private bathroom is very important to you, it is best to choose our private apartments, not a home stay
