Childcare/Children:

The volunteer could have the honor of providing English instruction to the children in Mexico who would not have access to such an opportunity because of impoverished conditions. This is demonstrated through fun lesson learning such as, music or drama in a meaningful context, bringing something to their lives that they would remember. Immediate feedback from the pupils is assured and thus guarantees a dynamic exchange. This would be an advantageous experience for both the students and the volunteer. The children look up to the person as a leader which can be beneficial for future prospects. The volunteer practices the art of cooperation, compromise, calmness, certainty and endurance. One becomes close enough to feel a bond like a family member. This can be a positive and warm exchange; resulting in a sense of community and a feeling of belonging. The person may supervise the children’s play time and education. Serve as a guide for homeless children; help them develop basic life skills, such as, educating them about proper nutrition and hygiene practices. Development is a certainty as the role of moral guide is provided. Responsibilities are evident as follow up with the children takes place to make sure that they can develop and turn their lives around through rehabilitative lessons. Children in this circumstance turn to the individual as a beacon of hope, trust, encouragement and promise.
