Community Centers:

This is a great opportunity for one who wants to work in the field of recreation. Recreation can cover a very wide scope including: dance, sports, arts, games, yoga, exercise, etc. The individual may have the choice of many different areas of interest. The field of recreation changes all the time which is one dynamic of such a placement but also working in a different country with different recreational values would be most challenging and most interesting. Combine your talents! Exposure to different areas of expertise, and experience in an ever changing field would be beneficial for future career aspirations. The person may have the chance to work with people from all walks of life and from every age group. Participate with people who pursue activities with great interest, allowing for a great deal of positive growth. One may demonstrate leadership, creativity, flexibility, impartiality, enthusiasm and won’t be afraid to take risks. Show a willingness to work with people in the spirit of cooperation. Be skilled enough to assess people’s capabilities and impart programs that will enhance enjoyment. Gain knowledge through addressing how the body and mind work together in recreational pursuits to help combat stress. One shows people how to benefit from this educational process while at the same time having fun doing it. This is a very rewarding opportunity and can boost one’s career portfolio considerably as the area of sports medicine is very specialized and has enormous potentiality.
